Our Freedom Session Sour base was cold-rested in a pair of Cincoro Añejo Tequila barrels for six weeks, imbuing it with a hint of vanilla and the gentlest expression of oak without oxidizing or concentrating its delicate flavors. We then added the same house-made paloma syrup that made Pursuit of Freedom: Paloma such a playful banger.

On tap at Revolution Brewpub
Next stop, Revolution. This one immediately grabbed my attention as it is quite unique. It’s the regular Freedom base beer, aged in añejo barrels, with paloma syrup added. Sounds like a perfect way to start things off here. Let’s dive right in
Pours a lightly cloudy gold with 2 fingers of white head that fades to a ring and leaves decent lacing
Unsurprisingly there’s some sweet notes in the nose, but it’s well balanced. I’m picking up on aromas of añejo tequila, soft oak, lime zest, agave nectar, grapefruit zest, bready malt, and light vanilla
It’s a lot more of the same in taste, but that’s in no way a complaint. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting red grapefruit, doughy malt, lime zest, agave nectar, smooth oak, orange juice, lemon zest, and vanilla. The swallow brings notes of lime zest, agave nectar, añejo tequila, soft oak, vanilla, red grapefruit, orange juice, and light molasses
A light medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing
Oh yeah, this one is interesting. I hope they package this one at some point
