Our packaging team came together to conceptualize this tropical lager. Pilsner malt, white wheat, and a box of grape nuts gave us a good base for what came next. Lunar Crush is a thiolized lager yeast from our friends at Omega. It produces a big tropical profile, especially aromatically. We used this to ferment the base, and it created a beer resembling a Sauvignon blanc. But that wasn't enough for the team. They wanted to take it one step further and add mango. The result is a huge punchy smell of ripe passionfruit, guava, and mango. The mango provides a little sweetness but clears the way for a clean lager finish.
