This is the same lovely blend of sweet, old, Ryewines comprising D.B.V.S.O.R. 2024, but we pulled the ol' switch-a-roo on the finishing barrel, opting for a French Cherry Liqueur barrel rather than an additional round in Bourbon like its counterparts. Notes of cherry are gently elevated over the double bourbon variety, while everything else more or less stays in place.

L - Deep mahogany with ruby highlights with a tan head that dissipates quickly, leaving no lacing behind
S - caramel, toffee, dates, dark fruits (cherry), bourbon. The smell is somewhat faint
T - caramel, brown sugar, toffee, dates, raisin, butterscotch, finishes with cherry and bourbon. Oak. Slight liqueur syrupy sweetness on the finish. Light smoke
F - full bodied with light carbonation. Smooth, soft, sticky
O - a really well rounded barely. Decadent but so drinkable (dangerously so)

I had this on draft 11/13/24 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Black appearance.
Minimal tan head; no lacing remained.
Caramel, wood, leather & faint cherry notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Caramel covered cherry flavor up front; wood, leather & bourbon heat notes on the finish.
The cherry was integrated nicely here. Tasty!
