Mr. Kilmister is named after the enigmatic frontman and bassist for the legendary rock n' roll band Motorhead. This brew shows off a complex roast character with touches of toasty malt, caramel and has a silky mouthfeel from the large addition of flaked oats. English Fuggle hops provide a soft bitterness and earthy undertones. At 5% ABV this is an extremely sessionable stout that pairs well with any Motorhead album you have at hand. Show Less

1/30/25 - (Revolution Taproom) (Chicago, IL) Draft Notes: $7 plus tax 16 oz draft, 5.0% ABV draft Oatmeal Stout.
Appearance: Draft pour into a pint nonic glass yields a very dark b chestnut brown base and light tan bubbly creamy head which recedes to a fine thin cover over the base and significant lacing in its wake. Very nice. 4.25
Aroma: Bakers and milk chocolate, nice caramel, roast malt. Strong and very pleasant. 4.5
Taste: Consistent with the aroma, though failed back in terms of strength. A nice mellow roast malt, bakers chocolate and caramel blend, caramel the lead after 6 through the first third, builds as it warms. 4.25
Mouthfeel: Faint fizzy carbonation, drinks nice and easy consistent to the listed ABV. Mildly dry, balanced between sweet malt, chocolate and caramel flavors and nice hops presence, sweet caramel finish. 4.25
Overall: This is a solid oatmeal stout. Sweeter than I’d normally reach, but the sweetness and overall experience is better than most I’ve come across in this style. We’ll done Revolution, glad I made it out today to try this. 4.25
