This is a quaffable Belgo-American style Pale Ale. It is based on ‘A Little Crazy’, but it is its own recipe (not a small beer). It is still spicy and complex, but made for a longer evening of imbibing at 4.8%.

On-tap at Revolution. Served in a mug.

A - Creamy white foam settles to a thin cap, thicker collar, and a bit of lace. Transparent golden body.

S - A nice mix of peppery Belgian yeast an citrus hops. A tad phenolic, but I prefer some of that flavor in this style of beer. There's some earthy, woodsy flavor that grows over time.

T - The taste is heavier on the bread, yeast, and toasted grains, with more restrained hop flavors. Citrus hops some up in the finish contributing a grapefruit bitterness in the finish along with some tangy yeast.

M - Dry, crisp, clean, with pleasant carbonation and no alcohol presence.

D - Pretty easy to drink, but I was ready for something new after about half the mug. Still, I finished it with minimal difficulty. Lots of flavor for 4.8% though.

Poured from tap at revolution. Pours a nice clear color with a small head.

Nice and aromatic with aromas of spices, hops, fresh picked citrus and some florals.

Medium bodied, but lacking a mid and finish. Nice flavors of spicces, citrus and some hops.

A nice and refreshing brew. It's lacking a slight bit, but no complaints for what it aims to be.

Pint served at Revolution's Kedzie brewery taproom.

Color is a lightly hazy golden orange, streams of racing carbonation trailing upwards. A healthy layer of bubbly foam sits on the surface and lasts for a good while.

Aromatic with fruity hop traces, pear and citrus, some pepper from the Belgian yeast strain. Blends nicely and has a woody, tea like note slightly reminiscent of Sorachi Ace.

Flavors of bright citrus, orange and grapefruit, somewhat bitter, light traces of pepper and spice in the dry finish. Ample carbonation, light bodied and pretty drinkable. Nuanced complexity that keeps things interesting. Leans equally towards the American and "Belgo" sides of the hybrid pale ale style. Wonder if the name is a reference to Haymarket's Belgian focus and similar "bird names".
