I tried this at the brewpub. Served in a short tulip glass for $5. I hadn't seen this one out in the stores, so I figured if I'm ever going to taste it I'll have to try it at the brewpub.
The beer had a clear, dark golden color, but only a thin white rim for a head. The rim lasted for about a minute and left only minimal lacing.
Very fruity smell with some yeast and spiciness.
This has some bready malt flavor to it along with some farmhouse yeast, peppery spice, fruit (berries), and a touch of alcohol.
Light to medium body with moderate carbonation.
Not my favorite style so it's not going to rank up there with my favorite beers, but for a biere de garde it's alright.
