An IPA brewed in collaboration with Half Acre, Three Floyds, and Bluejacket for the 2013 Craft Brewers Conference. This brew proves that multiple parties can indeed create something beautifully balanced. Each brewery provided their own hops and we dry-hopped it twice with hops from Hop Head Farms. Our Brewmaster Jim Cibak calls this a "deceptively drinkable hoppy ale" with flavors and aromas of spring flowers, a smorgasbord of fresh citrus, and a faint hint of mint.

Pours a well carbonated and lively glowing amber hue, a touch lighter, some mellow haziness, orange gold bottom and a frothy off-white layer atop films a bit, stays small and laces well throughout. Aromas are oranges and tangerines, some grapefruit, earthy hops and some touches of bready and pale malts, cereal grains. Firm dry bitterness tapers off a bit into the middle of the flavors. Cereal grains, bready, and some gentle sweetness. Fruit sweetness, citrusy orange and grapefruit. Floral, grass, a touch of cotton candy sweetness but not offensive. Backend is citrus juices, grapefruit rind, a firm dry bitterness. There was some lemon, tapering bitterness that seemed to die out in the back finish. A pretty solid IPA, the front end and nose were the winners for me though the malt offering did seem a bit unfocused and interfered that more robust, complex hop profile.
