The horn blows, the steam clears, and the workers emerge from the bowels of the foundry with time cards and lunch pails in hand, ready to leave the circus of a hard day's work and sit back to a tall, cold one with friends. May we present that cold one: Blue Collar, an American Lager that finally works as hard as you do. American-grown Pilsner grains and a helping of flaked corn provide a sturdy, solid base to a malt – forward flavor that's sweet on the tongue and light in color. Brewed as a working man's session beer, this Blue Collar lager is the perfect punch to pack at the end of your shift.

Pours a copper color with a foamy white head that stays the entire time. Smells of hoppy grains. Taste is slightly bitter with a citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is heavier than I expected. Overall, a good beer for after work.

a tasty american wheat beer from these guys. i like the label, and i like the idea of a working class beer, keeping it fully marxian. solid stuff. the beer in the bottle is nice too, a hazy darker wheat, copper almost, looks like some of the old world weizenbocks. great head, fluffy and white and lasting forever, and it takes me awhile to drink this thing, and it just never fades. smells good, hints of orange peel and brown sugar in there, slightly caramelized for a wheat beer, and without a yeast that has much flavor to it, nothing german or belgian about it, pretty straight forward. more hop bitterness than flavor, but there is a citrus element to it as well. huge body, big even for the style, you really get the texture of the wheat here. more residual sugar than i like at the end of this, and i guess it lingers a little long, but the flavor is quite nice, so i dont mind it sticking around. good carbonation, and overall a cool take on the style, a little bigger and richer than many, but still kept pretty simple in terms of ingredients and processes. good companion to playoff hockey...
