A - Pours out a hazy golden orange, translucent. Nearly no head on the pour, and quick to fade to nothing.
S - Fairly quiet, some funky sour grain notes, with a touch of plastic or band-aid wildness. Pretty typical of the style.
T - A mix of fruit notes, as you might expect, the peach and pineapple foremost, over the tart acidity and salinity of the style, and a lingering aftertaste of spice and apple and stone fruit.
M - Moderate carbonation, somewhat sharp acidic bite that lingers.
O - I appreciate the flavors, while the feel and smell are fairly typical for a Gose. I love a Gose, so this is something I'd return to, despite there being some off-notes with the good ones. They didn't necessarily fully stick the landing here - the feel is a bit harsh and the nose is too quiet - but it remains a tasty experiment, and makes me want to find some more from Pig Minds when I'm in Chicago again.
