Can pour - hazy unfiltered golden lemon juice with white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is citrusy hops with a touch of pine. Taste follows with a hint of bitterness. Finish is slightly citric/tart.

16 oz. can (3/17/20) poured into a nonic pint.
Hazy burnt orange with a generous foamy white head and the aroma is of ripe orange with some grapefruit.
Bitter citrus and a tad soapy with a subtle vaguely sweet maltiness.
Light carbonation. Very easy to drink. slightly astringent at the finish.
While I admit to being a little burnt out on this style I do find this a decent quaff.

From that "other" brewery in Santa Rosa, Hen House comes, Frozen Envelope. This beer pours a beautiful, cloudy, golden yellow with a think head that dissipates quickly, leaving very thing lacing. The smell is full of grapefruit and orange with a hint of peach, not as dank and hoppy as expected. Taste is well balanced with the citrus up front, followed by a dank hoppiness that fades to a slightly malty, but clean finish.

Re-review on 12/31/19 - Distribution is still amazing, and labeling recommends you check the date, clearly labeled. Canned on 12/18/19, about two weeks old
This brewery makes great beer, and the distribution is amazing. I picked up a four pack of cans canned on 3/13/18, and reviewed it 3/17/18 (fresh!)
L - definitely unfiltered, golden haze
S - hops galore, tropical, complex dank and piney notes
T - beautiful hop bouquet and peaches and mango up front, nicely balanced by malt backbone, followed by pleasant bitter finish to savor. Very refreshing
F - medium light body for big ipa
O - this has everything I love about NE IPA plus availability of canned on dates about a week old at grocers, well done! Berkeley Bowl consistently offers the namesake HenHouse IPA and one seasonal brew

Update from 3/17/18
Poured this beer from a 3/13/18 can. Beautiful yellow golden deeply hazy body. Short lived finely bubbly white head. Delicate and soft aroma of orange, lemongrass, pine, grapefruit. Really awesome flavor of orange julius, lemon peel, grassiness. Super well-rounded and crushable. All this flavor tied together in a super pillowy and soft mouthfeel that lets you know the hops are fresh and present but without any abrasive bitterness or hop resin stickyness and viscosity.
