Appearance: pours a pale yellowish beige color with a sticky white foam head.
Aroma: robust tropical fruit and pine resin.
Taste: citrus and tropical notes. Mainly grapefruit and pineapple. A little bit doughy with citrus pith characteristics making for a medium bitterness that lingers around for a while.
Overall: not surprised at all. Another great beer from a great brewing company.

Had heard good things about this brewery, so was pretty pleased to see a fresh influx of cans at my local (John's market).
The beer pours a hazy, nearly opaque golden amber color with pretty decent head retention and light lacing. The nose is pretty attractive, as I pick up considerable tropical fruit (apricot, peach and mango), along with plenty of orange juice and light vanilla. The flavor profile seems to replicate the nose pretty closely, though there's some noticeable alcohol on the finish that's a bit off putting. The can I'm drinking is uber fresh (canned less than two weeks ago), so the slightly alcoholic finish isn't the result of the beer sitting around too long (if anything, it might benefit from a little extra added age). Mouthfeel is medium bodied I would say otherwise, with a moderately long, slightly hot finish.
Hmmm... It's pretty easy to find halfway decent hazy IPA's these days, and frankly, there's nothing about this beer that really stands out. It's not a bad beer, but given how many hazies are available these days... Many of which are clearly superior to this beer, it's pretty hard to imagine ever wanting to order this again.
