1st review of this beer on BA. June 2021 consumption out on the river as it started warming up. Tis the season. This review is based on a single 16oz can.
Color is a caramel base color, but purple blue influence to it. Think fruited flanders in terms of appearance, thin 1/4" off white head. The aroma has the blueberry and tart notes, but not really finding the salinity of a gose at this point. Blueberry seems to cut against salinity so that is probably the culprit.
Taste is enjoyable though, drinks more like a fruited berliner than a gose because of the lack of perceived salinity. Its still a refreshing mouth feel. Light body, big flavor. Not huge on the blueberry, but sufficient enough to undercut any saltiness and be "tasteable". Light back end dryness, good carbonation levels. Sourness is dialed back but still existant.
Its a decent enough beer, but at this point I think I prefer Henhouse hoppy beers to their other stuff. Just kind of thought this was more of a berliner/wild ale than a gose.
