Timeless on Ten

Pours a deep burgundy with a ruddy transparency. It has one finger of off-white foam. Aroma hits hop notes first, and hard - dank and resin hops drive the locomotive that is this aroma. Toffee, fig, and molasses help smooth it out a touch, but it's still hop forward. Mild alcohol simmers in the background. It's not quite abrasive, but it's brash, developing a huge persona from first whiff - keeping in mind this beer only sits at ~10% ABV. Flavor profile is a little more smooth, but the same dynamic - hops up front, then smoothing sweetness and malts behind. Resin and sticky hops lead it off, with toffee, raisins, molasses, and creamy caramel following. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a sticky, velvety texture. Overall, a big and sticky beer. This could very well be labeled a red imperial IPA, and it would be believable, as it drinks similar to an old school Triple IPA.
