Strange noises and mysterious lights whisper in the deep in the woods of Western Sonoma County. Bears? Hippies? A family of sasquatch? No! It’s a horde of Grove People! This Simcoe-driven Double IPA is the bigger, bolder version of our classic Illuminati IPA. You’ll find all the amazing pine and tangerine aroma that we love Simcoe hops for along with a bigger 8.5% ABV. Sip this beer thoughtfully or risk getting lost in the woods.

16 oz can from the brewery's taproom in Petaluma, CA. The can is not dated but just 3 days from purchase.
The very dank and somewhat boozy aroma precedes a much more fruity and bready flavor with the ABV better hidden. This is a fun and dangerously easy drinking DIPA.

Can pour - opaque lemony yellow fruit juice with white head leaving frosty lacing. Nose is sweet malt with tropical fruit and dank pine. Taste follows, more or less. A bit of a bite lingering on the finish.

Pours a pale golden color with a retentive head.
Smells of peach and grape but moreso like candy.
Taste is very bready right up front, some fruity notes but not as dominant as it was in the aroma. A bitter hop finish with lingering bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a clear, golden color with some amber hues. Sticky, bright white foam head. Medium carbonation.
Aroma: like a pine forest with a subtle malty undertone. Grapefruit and citrus peel.
Taste: Pine needles directly up front, followed by lemon leaves, and a forward hoppy bitterness that lingers among the boozy finish.
Overall: this is a really good take on a strong, no bullshit double IPA. No regrets at all.
