The Oak Cult bears fruit! Plums, Miracle Plums, to be exact!! This celebration of time and terroir was created in collaboration with our neighbors Sallie and Gwen, aka The Kitchen Queens, for the most elegant brew to burst forth from our Palace Of Barrels yet!!
Since opening our brewery in Santa Rosa several years ago, we’ve been searching for the perfect brew to adorn with the famed “Santa Rosa” or “Miracle” Plum developed by Sonoma County’s own Luther Burbank. Santa Rosa Plums show a deep, rich flavor: Sweet, tender, and juicy flesh complemented by a hint of tartness in the skin! This combo melds perfectly atop a wine-barrel-aged, garnet-colored sour ale. Matured in our Palace Of Barrels facility in Petaluma, a simple dark ale spent nearly a year in Napa Cellars' red wine barrels before spending another eight months conditioning on hand-harvested Santa Rosa plums! Sip and consider the miraculous microbes that turned these plums, the product of a specific season and region, into an expression of that same bit of time and place that can be captured in a bottle and preserved for years! That is if you have the patience!
