Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
Chuggin' along the house beer train with their red ale. It pours a clear russet-amber topped by a finger of lightly off-cream-white foam. The nose comprises ruby red grapefruit zest, caramel, and light toasted toffee. The taste brings in more of the same, though now the grapefruit comes across a touch rindier, and the toasted toffee seems more darkly toasted. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta oily feel. Overall, a decent red, one that doesn't embrace the delightful fruitiness of the hops well enough and hasn't yet come to terms with the fact that its malts are a touch disjointed.
