Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
The first of a couple "double"-d brews here... This one pours a clear sienna topped by a finger of glowing cream foam. The nose comprises coffee, light roasted malts, and dark baking chocolate. The taste brings in more of the same, though now everything comes through decidedly bitterly, and some sharp grass comes in near the finish, compounding the bitterness. The body is a light-leaning medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, an okay brown, but one that's just far too bitter for its own good (and mine, for that matter).
