On cask tap at St. Andrews Brewing Co. Served a bit too warm, perhaps.
Flavor: English and citrusy American hops? Whatever the hops are, they are more fruity and earthy, and there's a nice balance of light and medium malts with the hops.
Near medium body with light carbonation. Soft, smooth but not dead feel.

Poured into a shaker pint, 500 mL bottle with freshness date. Poured a nice head of crisp white foam, good retention and lacing. Colour is a bright yellow gold, no visible carbonation.
Smell is light, grassy, floral, some oaty malts. Some fresh hops come through, sweet citrus and fruity.
Taste has crisp bread and oat malt, nice floral hops. Some sweet malt to the body. Hops are mildly citrusy, all in all nicely balanced session ale. Finish is smooth, grassy, crisp and relatively dry. A nice lively flavour that is pretty tasty.
Mouthfeel is pleasant and light, medium malt presence and soft carbonation. Quite refreshing and sessionable, finish has a clinging dryness.
A nice session ale that makes a good case for the extra effort going into brewing it. This beer is bottle aged and certainly shows a little extra edge on most average pale ales. It could show a bit more depth but it is a really tasty and interesting example of the style. Firm maltiness and subtle hop bitterness throughout. As I have found with many of Bob's beers, they are generally unassuming upfront, but of high quality and very hard to find fault with.
