Purchased a 32oz growler from the brewery (just at the bottom of my road), filled fresh in front of me. Tasted some as soon as I got it home, enjoyed a full pour in a stout glass later that night. Poured black with little to no head (an unfortunate by-product of getting a freshly-filled growler). Smelled more yeasty than most stouts, but the taste didn't reflect that. Bittersweet chocolate in the smell, no real cherry to be found. The taste was an excellent example of a stout, although other than the usual bitter chocolate, nothing else of the "choc-cherry" title was detected. Overall, I think only the name sets it up for slight disappointment. On its own, it's an excellent stout. It just doesn't taste like one would expect a "choc-cherry stout" to taste.
Looking forward to trying more offerings from Endless Brewing; happy to support a great local brewery and business!
