The beer pours a beautiful dark brown color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a dry, robust scent that's heavy handed in roasted malts. It has an excellent character with a bit of caramel malt for balance and added complexity. The taste is decent. Again, it has a bone dry, roasted feel with just enough caramel malt for added sweetness and body. It goes down smooth and finishes with a dry, yet creamy, roasted character. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a full bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is an excellent porter with plenty of robust flavor.
