Dark amber with a THICK and LARGE tan head. Nose was malty, but seemingly flat. Taste was malty and slightly wheat aftertaste. Not a great beer, but good.

12 ounce can, no canning date I could find. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a somewhat hazy amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both decent. Aroma is nice, the brew smells mostly like caramel/bready malt, along with some herbal hops. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some dark fruit and piney hop flavors. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit coating and easy enough to drink with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a nice amber ale, not sure if I've ever tried this one before when I've been at the brewery in the past but the canned version is tasty!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid amber pours a beautiful
and luminous deep amber with a long lasting head of off white foam
that settles to a thick fat ring and layer with some very nice lacing. Nose
of toasted malts and light spicy hops with a hint of bread crust. Flavors
surpass with a fine presentation of toasted malts, caramel, light spicy hop notes,
light vanilla touches, and faint cream elements. Nice mouth feel; medium light
body, medium light carbonation, and a balanced malt and with warmth an herbal
hop note.
Overall a solid little amber
Cheers

On tap at Arcadium in Lexington.
This amber ale was my first from Apocalypse. While not an immediately appealing brew, its taste and feel were quite decent. The hops came through clearly, making this on the more bitter side of an amber ale, but was balanced enough to remain in the style. It was crisp, refreshing, and flavorful. I'm not sure I would seek it out to buy it, but it was a good choice and hit the spot.
