From the brewery's site:
"Big Barley: English Barleywine 13% 54 IBU
A bigger, maltier English Barleywine…food for your survival!"
It was dark mahogany in color. Looks syrupy and slightly thin.
It's a malt bomb... Overly sweet, yet not super complex. Carmel, slight dark fruit.
Very little carbonation... Seemed a bit flat.
IMO, Against the Grain's London Balling is a much better option for those looking for a local barleywine option in the Kentuckiana area.
***I did not try this at the brewery, so my low review score could be based on the bar.
