Copenhagen 26/11 2024. 50 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Søndergade, Herning. Green and brown label with Christmas Elves crawling around.
Pours unclear, almost opaque maroon with a red hue. Small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sugary sweet odor mingling with sweet alcohol and dark fruits. Brown sugar in abundance. Raisins and plums. Sweet port wine. Syrup.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, a bit viscous, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a distinct touch of alcohol. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and boozy.
Classic sweet Winter Warmer.
