Copenhagen 24/3 2021. 50 cl bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Dark brown - almost black - label. Text heavy. Slogans like “Black as tar, soft as....” and descriptions of the beer.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized, bubbly, beige head. Settles as thin patches of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a dark, sweet odor mingling with roasted notes. Dark roasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Brown sugar. Earthy, sourish scent peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
It may not be black magic but it is a decent Stout.
