Incredibly round and soft flavor explosion with a lovely sour finish from the cherries.

Copenhagen 27/3 2021. 50 cl bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Dark and text heavy label and a little info-box about Marie Grubbe who chose the peasant for the royal prince.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong, sweet, fruity odor mingling with tart sour scent of berries. Sweet fermented plums and raisins. Tart cherries. Sweet liqueur with hints of almond and vanilla.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, slightly viscous texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a lighter tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sour undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is sweet liqueur.
Nice, dark and sweet with a tart cherry streak. Could use a tad more intensity though.
