Belgian-inspired monk's beer with a sweet aroma, fruity taste and a soft mouthfeel, almost vinous. A true flavor bombardment.

Copenhagen 22/3 2021. 50 cl bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Dark green label with a little info-box about Martin Luther where they omit some of the less than flattering facts about Luther like his anti-semitism.
Pours clear amber with a small white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to covert surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with alcohol. Caramel and toffee. Hints of brown suge. Sharp edge of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light tart bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is close to sugary.
Somewhat sweeter than Martin Luther, the harsh donor.
