A lovely full-bodied, soft and dark lager beer that, despite its mild taste, still lets the lovely, dark malts shine through.
Discreetly hopped to achieve just the right balance in the beer.

Copenhagen 6/7 2025. 50 cl bottle from Vinspecialisten, Søndergade, Herning. Green version of Viborg Brygus' usual text heavy design with lengthy tales of The Colonel Jens Chr. Lund.
Pours clear dark mahogany with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet and sugary odor of dark malts mingling with a subtle grainy sourness. Sweet burnt caramel, toffee and a bit of brown sugar. Sweet biscuit. Whiff of butter.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a thin sourish undertone. Lingers for a bit, Finish is sweet with a hint of butter.
Not my Colonel.
