a bit old school, malty and sweet, but pretty well made overall regardless of the somewhat antiquated recipe, and highly refined, perfectly clear even though it looks as much like an amber as an ipa in the glass, lasting white head on it from the tap. i dont dislike the malt profile here, some of that nutty and caramelized crystal sweetness up front, but balanced by an earlier onset hop bitterness, and plenty of hop flavor as well, its also not so sweet at the end, a bit of a longer finish, but its not sugary. the hops have some pine and some sweet orange to them, pretty northwestern to me in complexion, but there might be a little something more uncommon here too, a lemony layer and even some tropical fruitiness in the background. lots of minerals here, a coppery taste a little bit as it warms, and a neat earthy low end that works well with the hops. clean enough in fermentation profile, nicely carbonated, and pretty hearty in terms of body. nothing out of the ordinary here, but the execution is there. cool place here, solid beers. more winter than summer on this one with all the grain, but it tastes good.

Pretty easy-drinking for an IPA. A little less hoppy flavor than most IPAs, probably a good choice if you aren't always sure about whether you like IPAs or not.

This is a solid IPA, not quite as hoppy as one would expect reading the menu. When smelling this, there is no doubt that there is a hint of citrus to this beer.

Thin but lasting slightly off white lacing above a bright straw golden colored beer.
Citrus, piney, and sone light fresh grass in the hoppy aroma of this beer.
Similar to the aroma but even more full and rich in the taste.
A drying slightly bitter aftertaste that keeps some of the flavors sticking around with this medium bodied IPA.
Pretty decent IPA for Idaho considering I've never associated the two before.
