Pint of this for desert turns out to be a great choice. Served in an imperial pint glass, deep mahogany body with light foam rim on top. Body is a mottling of browns and reds with very little sediment or haze. Aroma is mostly malt sweeness and a wafting of alcohol.
Taste is surprisingly light bodied for a strong ale of such color, though the malt flavor is all there. Hops sensation is apparent, but doesn't define the beer. A further suggestion of the alcohol is present in each sip, though not overpowering. Makes for a nice finishing drink; not too think, and just sweet enough for dessert.

Dark Copper color. Medium head. Aroma is malty. A medium bodied strong ale. Malts are caramely, touch or orange and slightly sweet. Hops are slightly spicy and finishes rather dry, A touch of an alcohol bite at 7.5 %. Very flavorful. Well balanced. There is a touch of alcohol oiliness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
