A - Deep burgundy pour with a moderately thick, creamy toffee colored lacing ring. Carbonation is steady and delicate.
S - Dark fruit, plums, black cherries, cherry skins, light bourbon, slight cherry tartness in the nose.
T - Acidic cherry tartness with a hint of sourness dominates this beer with some oak in the background.
M - Medium body with a velvety feel finishes dry on top of the tongue and the sides of the mouth water steadily.
O - Tastes more like a sour beer. Is this bottle infected?????

So I want this tick and I was hoping someone else had reviewed so I would know if I got a infected bottle. Poured near room temperature bottled vintage 2016 and got a 1 inch off white head that dissapeared at a record speed and settled into a thin ring of bubbles.
Smell is turpentine, yeasty biscuit, dark sour cherries, plum, and a little alcohol vapors.
Taste follows turpentine, sour dark cherries, biscuit, sour apple hard candy, and alcohol vapors that don't resemble bourbon at all.
Mouthfeel is thin, little carbonation to speak of, not really dry, and bordering on a drain pour.
Overall I now am going to go see what the non barrel aged version of this beer tastes like, I pray this thing is tainted because the ingredients and description are way off. Thanks for the bottle anyway @jzeilinger, I am sure you couldn't possibly have known.
