Hand pulled pint in the brewpub on 5th May 2012.
Pours a good amber colour with a full foaming cap on top; looked impressive.
Malts in the nose and taste: roasted/toasted and caramel semi-sweet throughout. A slightly bitter finish and aftertaste reminded you hops had in fact been used in the brew too. Suited the alcohol content nicely and I prefer less hoppy beers sometimes and this fitted the bill on the day.
