Clear, golden color. medium-sized, white head. Malt dominates in aroma, with subtle notes of grass and corn. Surprisingly good taste. Not too sweet, with light hoppy notes at the end. Decent beer without any big flaws.

Bottle in trade from Solidfunk, Thanks again.
Brilliantly clear with a good sized long lasting frothy white head. Faint crackery pilsner bits of skunk light floral earth and a hint of green apple. Somewhat sweet just ok.

11.8 oz foiled wrapped bottle served in a pint glass. 4.8% ABV.
Pours clear golden with lots of visible carbonation. The head is white, a bit sudsy, and quite durable.
Frankly, I had rather low expectations for this beer but it is actually good ... not exceptional but a solid pale lager with decent balance and no obvious flaws others than those one might attribute tot he style itself. Lightly sweet up front and more balanced by the finish. Light body with suitable carbonation.

This beer actually won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup 2012 in the International Lager category.
Appearance is very nominal. Nothing standing out too much. Pours a squeaky clean gold. .75 inch or 1.5 centimeters foamy head that diminishes itself to a coating atop the liquid. The carbonation offers up well dispersed bubbles throughout the glass.
Smell is very clean, crisp. There is a proper hop scent, but does not dominate the pale malts.
Taste is surprisingly pleasant. I only say that because 99% of the other beers I've tried here have been less than impressive. The beer hits your mouth and nose at the same time. As I drink it, the scent compliments the taste. It's clean across the palate, even spritzy, but not too much. Nearly perfectly balanced malt/hop presence, the way a lager should be.
Mouthfeel is refreshing. There is a slight hop bittering effect left on your palate, but in a way that invites another sip.
Overall, I like this beer. Although according to the ingredients there is an "adjunto cervecero." Rough translation "beer assistant." Now I'm assuming that's not an underhanded way at saying the brewer got mad at his helper and threw him in the brew kettle, but, rather, that it contains adjuncts. And these are detectable. But I must say, I WOULD choose this over the mass produced lagers made in the US.
¡Backhanded thanks Paceña!
