Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a semi-burnt dark orange to light amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Light messy lace. The aroma had some toast, caramel/toffee malts, light biscuits, and then a light earthiness. The flavor melds the previously mentioned aromas together somewhat earthy spiced with a touch of malty sweetness. All roams together into a light aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt appropriate for what the brewer projected. Smoothness to a low key sort of hoppiness balances decently along my tongue. Overall, fairly nice amber ale worthy of coming back to.
