Second beer consumed in Marquette Michigan while in the area for reunion week at Marquette University (Wisconsin).
This beer was not existing in this Next Glass owned database until I just added it almost a year after trying the beer. Content creator in the house. Excess labor capital. You dig it the most. Pours the familiar golden yellow beer color, thin 1/5" white head, dissipates rapidly. Not quite clear, not quite hazy = light cloudiness in the forecast. Aroma of bittering hops. Getting older school Simcoe more than anything. Cool Michigan wood needles. Is that pine?
Taste starts layering some of the hop flavors, more of an Amarillo/Citra feel than Mosaic. I suspect this is a more bitter mouthfeel than the full fledged hazy ipa, just isn't enough in terms of barley/oats/wheat to resonate with the smoother less bitter mouthfeel. Its a weak beer by design. Just light impressions all around. Thought it was interesting in a place of such mild weather, they have multiple sub 4% beers.
