Snow Day IPA was poured into a pint glass from the Taproom tap. Board states that it is a hop forward blend with chinook, simcoe and Mt. Hood hops.
A- Poured an unfiltered murky golden orange with a small half finger head that settled to a tight lacing with a little life to it
S- Big hop, citrus, lemon and orange peel
T- Big hop front with the simcoe characteristics taking hold, it has the citrus overtones that linger and hold the palate till a nice malt finish that sticks. A good tongue bruiser that allows you to say "yay IPA"
M- Slightly high carbonation that seems to be consistent at the brewery, but nothing that distracts from the beer, quite fitting.
O-Beer was described as rotating, and I hope that this one earns its spot on the permanent tap line. Another quality beer from a brewery that is making big strides in its youngest of years, once they grab a foothold, great things are to arise here.
