Base beer for Jesus on a forklift
Pours black with quickly dissipating head. The aroma is roast sweet chocolate and light licorice.
The flavor is sweeter than I expected, but the roast keeps it in balance. It's chocolate and licorice with a slightly spicy bitter finish. The base beer is a rye stout and doesn't hide it.
Overall I enjoyed trying the base to a ba beer I enjoy, but I prefer the ba beer.
