Kettle soured with our in-house Lactobacillus and fermented on cara cara orange and tangerine fruit. Sweet and tart, high acidity, with a full juicy mouthfeel.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a tulip glass. Hazy pale yellow, with a couple of fingers of white head that dissipated rather quickly. Pretty interesting aroma and flavor profiles. The nose is rife with orange and tangerine as expected, with a nice "funky" overtone. There is also an unmistakable note of burnt buttered microwave popcorn on the aroma. (Esters from the brewing process, maybe?) The tartness begins to come through as the beer warms a bit, although it is not at all obtrusive. I also pick up a distinct umami character on the palate. Very light in body, with a clean and crisp finish that leaves no trace. Overall, very complex and a decent enough beer.
