Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a Glencairn glass.
Dark, black, and opaque. Light mocha head. Smells like brine and dark chocolate. Roasted malt and booze. Mmmm! This is *good*. Rich, interesting, and savoury. Usually this savoury note is married with smoked malt, and that may be present, but here the meatiness comes across as rather smoke-free. Sweet and vaguely chocolatey, the endtaste is pure roasted malt. Bitter and pleasant. This is an incredible bargain and a damn good beer. Recommended. Will have again.
