Picked up in Chicago of all places.
A little sharp on the carbonation, otherwise a very nice offering. Chocolates and roast well done.

On tap at the brewery, served in a tulip glass
A: Very dark, tiny bit of light can be seen at the edges. Light-medium brown finger of head.
S: Very roasty, some chocolate, caramel and coffee come through as well. Some bready sweetness. No alcohol detected on the nose.
T: Dark chocolate and coffee flavors with a toasted breadiness. Finishes up with some residual sweetness.
M: Medium to large mouthfeel, doesn't quite coat your mouth, but it lingers after each sip. Low to medium carbonation provides a little bite.
O: Very big, tasty stout, would love to try this barrel aged or something cool like that.

A solid, if unremarkable, offering from Bay Area startup Strike. Also, an interestingly strong beer for a company that built its early reputation on session beers with lower ABV.
As of this writing, Strike is also preparing to open a taproom in San Jose - looking forward to that addition to the South Bay.
