22 oz. bottle from Safeway. Aroma of light caramel and yeast. Taste of toast and caramel with a hint of chocolate on a bready malt base. Slightly sweet with no bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth. More lager-like in style. Not overly complex but very drinkable. Love the low ABV.

Pours a murky super dark crimson-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, and roasted nut aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, nut, and caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of toast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid toast and nut characteristics all around.

uh, i'm the first??? where the heck are the the other "connoisseurs"????
pours brown. thin layer of white on top.
smells... sweet roasty, malty, cheap.... let's see...
taste is smooth. malty and robust. so far, easily sessionable, as long as you can handle the sweetness....
it's not great. i'd suggest re-working the recipe.... please... at least make it decent... maybe it tastes alright in the small batch, but if you're brewing commercially, tweek it. please. otherwise, it's okay....
