The first official offering from SGBC's brewer Angus...
A - Pours a nice copper colour with the slightest haze, thumb of soapy head with some retention and some sporadic spotty lacing.
S - Musty citrus hop notes off the top, hints of dried grass, bready malts and buttery caramel come through on the finish.
T - Musty hop flavours are nicely balanced with the caramel malts, hints of bitter citrus rind come through nicely alongside buttered bread and biscuit notes. Caramel corn flavours linger with some sour citrus rind.
M - Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness on the finish.
O - Well Angus, you've earned my respect and appreciation... I certainly am looking forward towards your next release. Full flavoured APA which boasts a solid hop profile, nice bitterness level and balanced caramel malt flavours. An easy drinking sessionable ale that is sure to please.
