Not sure if this will be brewed again, or if this is a one-time release. Released in conjunction with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra for a fundraiser and subsequently released at the brewery for growler fills.
A - Pours a nice brown colour with an amber hue, finger of light brown head with some retention and no real lacing.
S - Scent is loaded with sweet milk chocolate and cocoa, leafy green notes, hints of buttered bread, and toasted grains and nuts.
T - Flavour profile brings a nice sugary cocoa flavour, buttery caramel and toffee, wheaty bread and toasted grains and nutty almonds come through and linger alongside hints of milk chocolate and leafy greens.
M - Medium bodied, silky smooth and finishes with a touch of dryness.
O - Overall a very tasty brew which might be described as a toned down version of their Skullrock Stout. A great addition to their line-up and definitely a style that I've been hoping they would release. Easily sessioned and I'm glad I had the chance to try it out.
