Pitch black beer with a thin mocca head that leaves no lacing.
Nose: WOW! Espresso, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, raisin, plum, brown sugar, molasses, oak, dark syrup, fudge, vanilla, honey and dried fruit.
Taste: Dry, smooth, complex taste of dark chocolate, raisin, brown sugar, dark bread, vanilla, ash and coffe. A little bit of licorice and chili. A little bit alcohol at the end but I would never hve guessed the 11% ABV.
Body: Full body with a oily, complex texture. Little carbonation. Great balance between the bitter taste and the sweetness.
I'm glad I've five bottles left to store in my beercellar!

330 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Inky black and glass-staining. Not much of a head.
Smell - Dark chocolate. Coffee, kind of a green coffee aroma. Black patent. Molasses and a dark fruitiness.
Taste - Coffee, but again it's green. Rich fruitiness. Chocolate. A bit of bitterness. Doesn't taste as good as it smells.
Mouthfeel - Low carbonation. A little boozy. Medium heavy body.
Overall - Unique flavors. Well, pretty unique.
