Poured from a growler along with all their beers tonight at Enoteca in Post Falls. The owners were there tonight doing a tasting and it had a great turnout.
This IPA was absolutely wonderful, it stands at 7.2% ABV but is very drinkable, this is coming from an experienced IPA drinker and compared to other local breweries this stands out immensely. This is a husband and wife - ran brewery in a small town called Bonners Ferry which is near Laughing Dog brewery in Sandpoint, ID. Look for their beer on draft in the northwest and if your passing through sandpoint do not hesistate to stop by this brewery to try their IPA along with their other excellent beers.

Poured on tap at the Kootenai Brewing Company. Reviewed live.
A- one finger white head. Decent retention. Spotty clear lacing. Orange-gold color with high clarity. Looks like you want an IPA to look.
S- floral and juicy hops. Light, buttery and floral.
T- juicy and floral. Just a good IPA without trying to trust the taste buds. Balances the bitterness of the hops. Earthy tastes as well.
M- light, crisp and dry. Nice feel.
O- for a company struggling to have a big imprint in the Northwest, Kootenai River turns in a very good IPA. It's weaknesses are far overtaken by its strengths.
