Poured from a growler into a pint glass, reviewed live in high elevation Libby, Mont. Growler was poured Saturday, should be fresh. Paired with Teriyaki rice.
A- Finger and a half thick mocha head, fairly long retention. Sticky lacing. Lovely nut-brown body with fairly high clarity. Attractive beer for the style.
S- Sweet malts, touch of brown sugar. Maybe some chocolate and just a hint of noble hops at the end. Sweet and subtle.
T- Full-bodied flavor, sweet roast malts and candied darker fruits. Not a very strong taste, but sweet and very, very approachable. Not superb, but a damn fine beer.
M- Full-bodied, creamy and clean finish. Just the way you'd like it from the style. Hits all the areas of the tongue you'd want it to.
O- Maybe the best beer I've had from the brewery. Approachable, attractive and sweet.
