Poured into a custom shaped grip glass: color is straw gold, head is brighter white with fine to small bubbles, head presents about 3/4 inch thick and lingers well with good lacing on the glass.
Smell is lightly sweet, that light fruitiness of pilsner/vienna malts, like light grapes; hops are just perceptible with light earthiness.
Taste is slightly less sweet than aroma leads to believe as it warms: pilsner malt is dominant and pleasant, hops are earthy and lightly spicy, very good taste, just a touch sweet.
Mouthfeel is crisp, moderate carbonation, lingering sweetness.
Overall a good helles on the cusp of being very good.

Nimble Hill's Flinke Hügel Munich Helles Lager was a pleasant surprise. I like to support locally owned businesses and in this case a brewery! It Was on tap at a sushi/seafood restaurant. The aroma was pleasant. It was malty but not overly malty. The hops were just perfect with a touch of crispiness and very refreshing in taste and complimented our sushi fare quite nicely. Would definitely refer this Helles Lager to a friend!
