Cloudy amber with two fingers of billowy white head. Smells of pepper, coriander, yeast, and maybe citrus rind. Tastes very peppery. Smooth mouthfeel.

A little worried about this one as it was more than a few months old and the bottle foamed over with huge bubbles. The first taste was kinda off and I feared the worst but lo and behold the beer came together and the spicy citrus notes really opened up. Totally enjoyable wit with a big flavour profile. I ended up wishing I had picked up more and hope to see this one again in 2014.

A: Light straw color, very well carbonated, about three fingers of thich white head, good lacing on glass
S: Wheaty and yeasty, very subtle pepper aromas, get some bitter orange and citrusy aromas as well
T: Wheat malt, has a pilsener-ish crispness, a little spicyness, bittern orange and a very subtle heat from the szechuan peppers
M: Medium-light body, well carbonated, very crips finish with a subtle lingering pepper heat
O: Unique witbier, the pilsner and wheat malts are perfectly balanced by the bitter orange and heat from the szechuan peppers, all rounded out by the coriander typical of the style, very well done beer
