a-poured into frozen tumbler w/ one finger head. not a creamy head as I would expect from a stout. no lacings.

s - weak

t - not a very flavorful beer. gravity is way too low for a stout - seems diluted. Stouts s/b bold and full of flavor that lingers -- this was not

m - not rich like a stout s/b

o - will not buy again.

Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into an Innis & Gunn flute.

a: Black with clear ruby throughout when held to light, finger thick offwhite head receded to patchy surface foam and tiny bits of lacing.

s: Mild dark malt.

t: Mild dark malt leaning to black-coffee. Slightly bitter and smoky finish dries out fairly fast.

m: Light to moderate. Light for a stout.

o: A mild, easy-drinking, highly sessionable brew. Given its low ABV, it might better be called a porter.

From the 355 ml. bottle stamped 15155BF53. Sampled on December 17, 2013.

It pours a deep brown with ruby red hues glistening in the glass and a short-lived off-white head. Moderate clarity.

The aroma has a nice dark malty sweetness with the sugar enhanced by a brown sugar and/or molasses element and a little bit of baked chocolate.

The body is thin with a slight slickness.

Again, a dark sweet malty taste character at first with a mildly dry and clean finish. It was easy to drink but very much like Guinness Stout overall.
