Lumpy eggshell froth that trails over chocolate-tinged garnet body.
Hints of roast and fig, but mostly a mineral tang.
Soil, brown bread crust, brown sugar and walnut skins with kola nut and spice cake end.
Raisin finish and lean, bitter linger. Light side of medium, dry, flinty, crisp, slight cling.
It sure is brown - lots of earthy notes that aren't Crystal or Black malts alone. At the same time, not much fruit, and a bit thin for the all dark tones. Quaffable and unique but underwhelming in the end.
