Great initial smell. Inital taste is pretty hoppy and great but then the alcohol kicks in. It's still good though.

Served on-draught into a pilsner glass at the Aero in San Diego. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a half finger beige colour head of nice frothy cream, good thickness, and average retention. Colour is a semitransparent dark copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Not vibrant. Understated and appealing.
Sm: Floral hops, a firm clean malt presence, toasted malt character, caramelization, and a little hop bitterness. No pine, citrus, or oily notes. No yeast or alcohol is detectable.
T: Clean malt foundation with some floral hop notes atop. Oily bitterness emerges in the late second act and stays around. Imbalanced and horribly simple. Decently built; it's alright. Just lacks anything interesting.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Thick enough. Not custom-tailored to the flavours, but passable. Drinkable but very underwhelming. A pretty underbaked IPA. These brewers have some learning to do. Quite pedestrian. Meh.
